Analysis of Theoretical Framework

Investigation of Theoretical Framework EDUC 701: Theories and Research in Educational Psychology February 24, 2013 ? Acquaintance Teachers are required with show perusing and appreciation aptitudes to understudies and assist them with having the option to peruse and fathom materials from the at various times. Dr. Constance L. Pearson (1990) composes an exposition entitled â€Å"The Comparison of the Effects of Three Prereading Advance Organizers on the Literal Comprehension of Fifth-Grade Social Studies Materials† in this paper he is attempting to check whether the utilization of a prereading propelled coordinator would help manufacture the fifth grade understudies cognizance and information skills.During this phase of understudies learning improvement it is essential to begin taking a shot at their perusing and perception abilities. Investigation The hypothetical structure for this paper is utilizing fifth-grade social examinations materials and having a prereading technique of a propelled coordinator to check whether it would expand appreciation and information in the youngsters while they read their course books. The propelled coordinators that are being utilized are visual, realistic and tricky circumstance approach. The propelled coordinators are being utilized to assist the understudies with any ideas that they are not comfortable with.By utilizing these coordinators techniques would be created to help with learning the material. There were two exploration inquiries to approve the hypothesis that is being utilized. The primary inquiry identified with understanding perception and how it influences understudies when they are given a prereading movement while utilizing one of the propelled coordinators. The subsequent exploration question identifies with the perusing appreciation of the other two propelled coordinator approaches when they are given a preading movement. It is accepted that understudies perusing cognizance can be expanded from the utili zation of the propelled coordinators for their specific subject area. The reason for this examination was to decide whether one of the prereading advance coordinator techniques would convey differentiation from the other two methodologies. During the exploration numerous variables must be thought of and one such factor were understudies not having the option to get significance from what they read in content region course books. One explanation that the peruser may have an issue with content is that the material is composed on a higher perusing level then the expected peruser. Accordingly the scholars have attempted to disentangle the phrasing and abbreviated the sentences. They didn't mull over variables that natural in the peruser such inspiration, understanding capacity and intrigue. There is one human factor that has the most effect on understanding and that is schemata. Appreciation of the material is being dictated by the information that the peruser brings to the choice. The mo re schemata the peruser has for the subject the more they will comprehend the theme. Content materials particularly in the region of social investigations try to create numerous ideas; understudies regularly don't have the system to connect new knowledge.Students must have a comprehension of the ideas so as to understand the material they are perusing. In part two of the thesis Pearson clarifies how the exploration and writing that identify with the relationship of advance coordinators to understanding perception. He examines the historical backdrop of the investigation of understanding perception and advance coordinators. The diagram hypothesis is talked about as it identifies with the investigation of advance coordinators. Before 1970 perusing cognizance was seen as a procedure exclusively enacted by the content itself. The sees on perusing appreciation have since changed and now text has been resolved to be just the structure for importance. The peruser must have the option to bui ld an inward calculated portrayal of what is being perused. End Therefore, through examination it was resolved the use of advance coordinators before the materials were perused, brought about some recollecting by initiating significant ideas that were at that point present in the children’s psychological structure. The use of cutting edge coordinators ought to fortify the significance of the new materials by giving the system of past learning materials. To decide whether the use of cutting edge coordinators stay successful you ought to upon its capacity to help new thoughts from the student’s past thoughts. The prereading procedure of cutting edge coordinators presents how understudies can join ideas to new learning materials Reference Pearson, C. L. P. (1990). The examination of the impacts of three prereading advance coordinators on the strict cognizance of fifth-grade social investigations materials. (Doctoral Dissertation). Circle Dreamsâ â â â â â â â â â â â â â  Loop Dreams is a tale around two youngsters who need to become b-ball players in the NBA. The writer Ben Joravsky composed the book. The thought for the book originated from the narrative film, Hoop Dreams, which is a genuine story. Research in Nursing Qualitative Researches

Question: Examine about the Research in Nursingfor Qualitative Researches. Answer: Contrasting Qualitative and Quantitative Approaches Research Question- Subjective looks into are exploratory in nature as its primary object is to examine the method of reasoning behind an examination theme. Then again, quantitative research concentrates more on arranging highlights and leading measurable examination to clarify the marvel of examination. The examination question for quantitative research contrasts dependent on spellbinding, similar or connection based examination. Questions are surrounded in quantitative research by distinguishing various kinds of variable in a theme and composing the issue or issue the exploration will examine as question (Punch, 2013).The subjective research question decides how much an examination explains a wonder and the exploration question center around why and how of any marvel (Agee, 2009). The examination question for leading a subjective research exploring the experience of discouragement in young people is What sort of lived understanding of misery is found in teenagers somewhere in the range of 11 and 17 years with mellow to serious gloom?. Test Recruitment- In subjective research, inspecting method should be possible by non-likelihood examining, for example, purposive testing, snow ball inspecting and share examining. In subjective research, purposive testing is utilized to choose members who speak to a wide scope of viewpoint or who meet explicit measures. Thus, the benefit of purposive inspecting technique is that it target explicit populace which can give knowledge about the examination point. In any case, the shortcoming of this technique for examining enlistment is that there is possibility of biasness as the example has been chosen dependent on the judgment of analyst and their judgment might not have clear standards (Palinkas et al., 2015). Rather than subjective research, quantitative research testing is finished by likelihood examining where test is efficiently chosen from a known populace and the example speak to an objective populace. The four kind of likelihood inspecting method incorporate irregular testing, defined arbitrary examining, bunch inspecting and precise examining. In likelihood inspecting, the number of inhabitants in intrigue is chosen first and probabilistic calculation is utilized to choose the example. To acquire the outcome, the reactions from the example are consolidated dependent on determination probabilities. The benefit of likelihood inspecting in explore is that it is financially savvy approach and less-tedious contrasted with purposive examining strategy. Henceforth, in non-likelihood test, the choice methodology is explicit while in likelihood examining the choice methodology is arbitrary (Denscombe, 2014). For the subjective research of understanding of sadness in young people, test will be taken by purposive inspecting procedure and member who been alluded to emotional well-being administrations in London for discouragement will be taken. The incorporation standards for test enlistment will incorporate moderate to serious despondency and age between 11-17 years. Information Collection- Subjective information assortment is finished by semi-organized or unstructured methods to reveal contemplations and sentiment about a procedure. This should be possible by individual or gathering meeting, center gatherings and perception. The quality of subjective information assortment strategy is that analyst can direct the inquiry address and assess issues in detail. As subjective research information is picked up from human experience, dependable information is acquired contrasted with quantitative research and the scientist has the possibility to amend inquire about when new realities develop. Anyway , the restriction of the subjective research is that information understanding procedure is deferred because of the amount of date and secrecy issue additionally emerge during distributing the consequences of the examination (Katz, 2015). As quantitative research attempts to measure mentalities, experience, conduct and different factors in an example populace, the information assortment is finished by online study or portable studies, phone talk with, eye to eye meet, online surveys and longitudinal examination. The quality of quantitative information assortment strategy is that it depends on graphic measurements and it assists with breaking information dependent on change such contrast in age gatherings. Thus, quantitative information assortment approach underpins simple translation of information and measurable centrality assists with discovering genuine outcomes. The impediment of quantitative research is that such a large number of information can't be gotten from organized information assortment instruments and information gathered from self-reports might be off base (Rubin Babbie, 2016). To gather information on lived understanding of youthful in despondency, a subjective meeting will be done and the semi-organized meeting procedure will investigate the accompanying regions related tp misery What troubles carried you to emotional wellness administrations? How they would they be able to comprehend the trouble and inconvenience in life because of misery? How you attempt to adapt to sorrow? What is your desire from psychological well-being administration? Information Analysis- Subjective research information can be broke down by arrangement of information dependent on illustrative record or by interpretive investigation through coding information. The coding procedure in information examination is open, hub and particular and regular topics start to develop by classifying, arranging and recombining the subjects. Examination should likewise be possible dependent on ethnography, phenomenology and grounded hypothesis. Subjective information examination is helpful in explore as it looks further into sentiments and conduct and gives a method of reasoning with respect to why individuals respond in specific manners. Nonetheless, impediment in investigation is seen on the grounds that information assortment process is tedious thus little example size is set aside to diminish cost and effort for examine. Subsequently, as the example size is little, it is beyond the realm of imagination to expect to sum up the aftereffect of the exploration (Smith et al., 2015). Quantitative information examination is done to help or negate explore theory and the investigation is impacted by level of estimation, for example, ostensible, ordinal, interim and proportion information. Information investigation is finished by information organization, disaggregating the information and applying advance systematic methods, for example, connection, relapse and examination of difference. The benefit of quantitative information investigation approach is that it advances the speculation of result because of enormous example size and lead to more noteworthy objectivity and exactness in explore. Quantitative strategy additionally permits examination across classifications with other comparable investigations. The confinement is that assortment of smaller informational collection yield better outcomes (Suen Ary, 2014). For inquire about on understanding of sadness in young people, system information examination will be utilized to oversee and break down huge number of information. The information will be investigated by tuning in to meeting and understanding transcripts. The information will be composed by efficiently coding the information in various classifications. The date in every classification will at that point be summed up and mapped to decipher the information (Midgley et al., 2015). Discoveries and Generalizations- Subjective research techniques are progressively adaptable and results discoveries might be exploratory, distinct or informative. The legitimacy of the exploration finding can be controlled by the precision of portrayal of the wonder and legitimacy is kept up through steady correlation or triangulation procedure. Consequently the quality of the finding is that the information got is amazing and solid and there is less possibility of missing any complexities in investigate. The shortcoming in result emerges when the volume of information is excessively huge and nature of research is reliant on singular aptitudes of the specialist (Anderson, 2010). Quantitative research yields numerical information behind a wonder and it assists with discovering connection among reliant and autonomous variable inside a populace. The test or engaging exploration configuration helps in assessing causal relationship and summing up ideas. The introduction of the information through outlines and charts helps in giving lucidity with respect to explore issue. The confinement in finding is that blunder in speculation may yield incorrect discoveries (Lewis, 2015). In the event of subjective research concentrate on teenagers with wretchedness will give various topics identified with results, for example, hopelessness, despair, social detachment, sway on instruction and work and outrage and savagery (Midgley et al., 2015). Grounded Theory Approach and Qualitative Research Grounded hypothesis is the orderly way to deal with subjective research meant to build hypothesis dependent on information investigation. By this methodology, analyst gathers information, audits them and labels fundamental idea into various codes. During the information assortment and examination stage, center hypothetical ideas are distinguished by creating linkage with the date and the primary ideas. The assortment of various codes and classifications helps in the advancement of center level hypotheses emerging from information examination. Thus, the rationale behind the utilization of grounded hypothesis in subjective research is to fabricate a hypothesis on a marvel of intrigue dependent on information investigation (Morse et al., 2016). The grounded hypothesis configuration is helpful in subjective examination since it advances theoretical investigation of subjective and legitimizes logical enquiry process. Grounded hypothesis is utilized in point where a wide clarification is required for a procedure and existing speculations about the wonder isn't satisfactory. Subsequently it assists with examining a procedure or a marvel (Lewis, S. (2015). By the consistent similar technique, a wonder is chosen and not many nearby ideas around the marvel is recognized. To gather information, this type of research starts with hypothetical examining where open-finished testing technique, for example, interviews are done and afterward it moves to an engaged example bunch during the iterative procedure of information assortment and examination. The motivation behind hypothetical inspecting is t

Mary Collier and Anne Finch Break the “Rules” - Literature Essay Samples

Many people were wary of women writers in the eighteenth century. Women were supposed to be seen and not heard, and the fact that women were trying to be writers and voice their opinions broke this â€Å"rule†, two women who broke this â€Å"rule† with their writing were Mary Collier and Anne Finch. Mary Collier’s â€Å"The Womans Labour† is a provider of sorts for 18th century working conditions and how gender and authority worked. Anne Finch’s â€Å"The Introduction† talks of how society wants women to be small and meek and not have the voice that writers should have. On the other hand Finch’s poem â€Å"Letter to Daphnis† defies her opinion of marriage and instead she shows the love that could be seen in her marriage. These women show that women during this time worked harder than men and that they should not be categorized by society, that they can do whatever they put their minds to. Mary Collier was a washerwoman, so she knew how the life of a laboring woman was. She wrote â€Å"The Woman’s Labour† in response to Stephen Duck’s poem â€Å"The Thresher’s Labour† because in it Duck criticized women for being lazy workers and also because he didn’t take working women seriously whatsoever. Collier is trying to convey in this poem that both the men and women of the working class are slaves to the upper class and that Duck should admire this instead of separating them based on gender, because in reality women of the working class work a lot harder than men do. In every line of her poem Collier is writing a comeback to Duck, so that he can understand that women workers are not lazy but in fact work as hard as men if not harder. Collier points out at the beginning that Duck would not have been successful if not for a woman’s help â€Å"Immortal bard! Thou favorite of the nine!/Enriched by peers, advanced by Carolineà ¢â‚¬ (1-2), Queen Caroline only offered Duck everything she thought he deserved after reading his poem even though it was an insult to working women, so apparently not all women had each other’s back in the eighteenth century. Collier shows that she does not have respect for Duck in her poem by sarcastically (well I read it sarcastically) saying, â€Å"And you, great Duck, upon whose happy brow/The Muses seem to fix the garland now† (31-32). This shows that most people believe he is great because he is receiving a garland made by the Muses which indicates some type of honor. Duck should not be given any honor especially when he is trying to make working-class women, like Collier, seem lazy and unfit to be good workers. â€Å"Your threshing sooty peas will not come near./All the perfections woman once could boast,/Are quite obscured, and altogether lost† (220-222) shows that women have always had it hard in life and that maybe at one point women were able to sh ow the world what they were made of, but at one point in history things changed and women were no longer able to be boastful like men now are. At the end of the poem though everything changes, of course Collier is still fighting Duck on his criticism but also shows him in a new light: â€Å"So the industrious bees do hourly strive/To bring their loads of honey to the hive;/Their sordid owners always reap the gains,/And poorly recompense their toil and pains† (242-246). These lines bring worker women and worker men together and allows them to see that gender is not the problem in the workplace, but that instead the upper class is the enemy that they should confront. The upper class takes and takes and the lower class gets nothing in return. So Collier shows that in a world where people discriminate because of gender instead both genders should come together as one and fight the real enemy. Anne Finch possessed a modern understanding of what â€Å"gender† is, the social construction of femininity/masculinity, and it shows in her poem â€Å"The Introduction†. This poem was actually never published because she was a woman and women were not supposed to be writers. In this poem Finch shows how women are and how society wants them to actually be, she challenges the standard that people have for women and shows them that in reality women can be who they want to be. The poem starts off with â€Å"Did I, my lines intend for public view,/How many censures, would their faults pursue† (1-2), which shows that, as a woman, if Finch were to publish this poem many people would have disapproved of her writing. She goes on to explain that it would be because she is a woman: â€Å"Alas! A woman that attempts the pen,/Such an intruder on the rights of men† (9-10). This proves that the problem is not in her writing but instead in the fact that writing is not something a woman should even attempt to do because it is a job for men to have, and not for a woman to attempt. She goes on to show that society does not believe they should be writers but should do what women do, â€Å"They tell us, we mistake our sex and way;/Good breeding, fashion, dancing, dressing, play/Are the accomplishments we should desire;/To write, or read, or think, or to enquire/Would cloud our beauty, and exhaust our time† (13-17). Men and society believe that women are not very intelligent creatures and that they should do what they do best, and that is to sit down and just look pretty. This society believes that if you offer women something pretty or shiny they’ll blink and be distracted from wanting to do something intelligent, like to read or think. It’s sad to say that even today some people still believe that women should be seen and not heard. There is hope, Finch says, that one women will rise above the rest and hopefully after one the rest will follow â€Å"And to be dull, expected and designed;/And if some one would soar above the rest,/With warmer fancy, and ambition pressed,/So strong, th’ opposing faction still appears† (54-57). This connects to modern day because even nowadays we just need one person to step up and the rest will follow, and once the rest follow change can finally happen in the world and hopefully then society won’t have an idea of what a woman should be like. With this idea in mind one could think that Finch had extreme views on the relationship between man and wife at the time. Finch had her own beliefs of marriage, how it affected women and believed it was a form of permanent servitude. Even though she believed these things of marriage, her own marriage was one filled with love, her own husband even supported her writing and would transcribe her poems for her. In â€Å"A Letter to Daphnis† Finch shows the love she and her husband have in their marriage. The poem begins by saying â€Å"This to the crown and blessing of my life,/The much loved husband of a happy wife† (1-2). Since this is a depiction of Finch and her husband’s love it shows that in fact this marriage is one built on love and not one on the enslavement of women. â€Å"To him, whose constant passion found the art/To win a stubborn, and ungrateful heart† (3-4) it’s obvious here that Daphnis loves his wife no matter the flaws she may have , and even she admits to her flaws. Even with all the love they have for each other, though, it seems like this love is sort of an obsession â€Å"Daphnis I love, Daphnis my thoughts pursue,/Daphnis my hopes, my joys, are bounded all in you† (8-9). Finch’s ideas, in this poem and her poem â€Å"Unequal Fetters†, show that she believes that marriage is a form of servitude and even though she claims to have a marriage filled with love these lines make it seem like she is a slave to this love and her husband, especially when she says â€Å"[] are bounded all in you† (9). So in a way this line challenges her poem and even her own marriage because of the thought that the wife in the poem is â€Å"bounded† to her husband forever, because in marriage man and wife are bound â€Å"until death do them apart†. Even though these lines seem to contradict her ideals Finch goes on to say that she is writing this out of love: â€Å"But this from love, not vanity, proceeds† (12), so maybe in the end love does conquer all. Maybe love blinded Finch that she did not notice the fact that was enslaved to love for the rest of her life. In a way she did not to the ideas of servitude like other women have, but instead she lived to serve love to hand over her love on a silver platter to the husband she loved so much. Throughout history many people did not believe in women writers because there a rule that was technically not there that said that women should be seen and not heard. Two women broke this â€Å"rule†, Mary Collier and Anne Finch. Mary Collier believed that gender should not affect how working class women were seen. In her poem â€Å"The Woman’s Labour† she fights back against what another poet says about working women being lazy. Collier being a working women did not take this and wrote her poem to fight back against the ideas many people had of working women, and showed that one gender in the working class is not the enemy but instead the enemy is the upper class. Anne Finch believed that women should break free of the way society wants them to be and instead they should be who they want to be. Finch shows this in her work â€Å"The Introduction† where she changes the world by saying that she a woman wrote it and that she and other women should not hav e to conform to society. Finch also had negative views on marriage, but even with the negative views she had she still wrote in â€Å"Letter to Daphnis† of the love her and her husband had for one another. At times it seems like she is her own slave to love which would make her a slave to marriage, which goes against her beliefs. Either way both of these women were ahead of their time in trying to make their marks on the world as women writers.

Balancing Justice and Rehabilitation Essay - 538 Words

Ideally, everyone is safe from harm because people care for one another with compassion. However, most only care for themselves, and worse, some individuals actually jeopardize and disrupt the well-being of the public. It is easy to label them all as immoral, but circumstances differ when they are young offenders. While it cannot keep everyone on track, the multistep juvenile justice system determines adolescent offenders’ consequences to provide them a chance for change and rehabilitation, making it overall effective and fair to juveniles and the community. Although most juveniles who enter the system are not real criminals, some are, so by understanding their crimes and reasoning, law enforcement can better identify and stop repeat†¦show more content†¦Probation also allows minors to understand that as they get older, punishment worsens, teaching them that it is advantageous not to be involved in illegal activities. Unfortunately, many crimes cannot be overlooked with only a warning because protecting innocent people is always law enforcement’s first priority. Regardless of age, more severe punishment is sometimes necessary for juvenile offenders to compensate for their faults. Juvenile detention center sentences are harsh, but are often in the best interest of civilians. Except for a few, offenders are all released at some point, so they must be prepared for their reentrance to the community and prevented from coming back. Only eight percent of juveniles are likely to reoffend and can be identified through risk factors, such as problems at school and home, and then be provided with services like counseling (The 8% Solution 1). This program is based more on prevention and intervention, but some are already sucked into a lifestyle of trouble. While it is not too late for them, it is better to rehabilitate those who have yet to fall in too deep rather than hard-core criminals. The Dirty Technique Of The Call - 970 Words

The Dirty Technique of The Call (2013) Since 1983, the percent of ads using sex to sell products rose from 15 percent to 27 percent by 2003 (Pappas, 2012). Nowadays this is a trend that creators of entertainment are developing in this society. Specifically, in movies, music videos, music, and television, there is strong focus on women as sexual objects rather than women. According to Jon Barber. And The Call (2013) is not an expression. This film is promoting the objectification of women, because it has unnecessary underwear scenes, also they exploited a teenage girl and it contains images structured around a masculine viewer. The first reason why this film is objectifying a teenager girl is because she is unnecessarily in underwear. There is no reason to undress her, because the kidnapper is only interested in her hair, not in other part of her body. He eventually kidnaps them and surgically removes their hair. This hair was apparently used to reconstruct his sister, (Villians.wikia). The Foster’s Trauma (the kidnapper) was that his sister died of cancer, and she lost her hair, so he kidnapped these girls with similar hair as his sister in order to reconstruct his sister. So is unnecessary to undress the girl he kidnapped because he only wants her hair, not an organ of her body. Additionally, other example that prove that there is no reason to undress her is because he was not a sexual abuser, he was supposed to be just a serial murderer seeking girls who had a resemblanceShow MoreRelatedRegistered Nurses Play A Big Role913 Words   |  4 Pagesmuscle and or the fascia. System Design Business Report

Question: Discuss about theSystem Designfor Business Report. Answer: Introduction The report aims to prepare a business report for presenting the system analysis that has been done on the system and then finally present the system design that will serve as the basis for the construction of the business and the act as an example for the future processes. For the sake of preparation of the report, requirement analysis has been done by taking valuable decisions and viewpoints from various groups. Later the requirements of the system were realized and finally scalability was discussed citing its importance to a franchise. The requirement analysis has been done by consulting various people groups which will help in understanding the problem encountered and the timeline that will be needed for implementation of the project. The List of Questions What do you think about running a chain of restaurants? What are the factors important for running a chain? What are the factors that affect the business of an outlet? What do you think about the computers in management of the chain? What is the importance of signature dishes for a chain? What are the importance staffs in an organization? Is marketing necessary for running a restaurant? How is the capital important for a restaurant? What is the impact of location on the business of restaurant? How to impress customer? How to lure customer to restaurant? What values should be incorporated to make the restaurant match the world class level? Feedback from Group 1 The group has a chain of seven restaurants and serves a variety of dishes that are well loved by the customers. The group is against the just creation of chains that serves the same dishes across all the restaurants. According to the group each restaurant of the chain should have a different take based on the locality which will in turn help in the creation of value across all the entities, thus creating a child which has its base in parents but different according to its experience. The group has also laid emphasis on community, staffing, and communication. It has also been suggested that services should take the front seat rather than the money. Feedback From Group 2 This section includes the responses from a group of customers. This group has laid emphasis on five aspects. The first aspect is customer convenience, i.e. the restaurants should be well placed for the ease of access. Customer services, to ensure the visitors are well served and feel at home. Food Quality, for satisfying the taste buds of the customers. Bookkeeping, to ensure all the data regarding the transactions are well maintained. Finally suggestion by the group was going for the niche that helps in the creation of a newer customer base, and the expansion will have more credibility. Feedback From Group 3 This group consists of the members of the kitchen. According to the group, the chef is the most important part of a restaurant and hence choosing one for the restaurant should be the prime consideration. The group also suggested that the capital estimation should be exaggerated for redundancy. Finally, evolution should be given due importance as the chains who failed to evolve had perished with time. Feedback From Group 4 The fourth group consists of managers who have served various hotels and restaurants. The group has laid emphasis upon, hard work which will help in creating a good name for the chain. Money should also be given more importance and management, bookkeeping and a proper hierarchy should be maintained to ensure a smooth functioning of the system. The management of the company should be clear to the staffs about the goal of the organization and advertisement through suitable media should be done to reach the potential consumers. Feedback From Group 5 The final group is a combination of restaurant owners and the manager. The group has specifically mentioned that the papers of the restaurant should be according to the law of the land. The licensing should be given utmost importance and helps to avoid various actions that could be taken to harass the management. Following which management of staff, inventory, and other services were mentioned. The discussion from the group has presented many aspects upon which proper emphasis should be laid to succeed in the business of Restaurant and further expanding the entity through the chain. The main objective of this project is to analyze the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) related to management of the restaurant chain. The requirements that have been realized during the process of requirement analysis are: Each outlet of the chain should be treated as a separate entity; hence each restaurant should have a separate system that is connected to the main office (Ward and Peppard 2016). A roster system to record the data about the staff of the specific restaurant. This will not only help in keeping track of the staff but will also ensure better manageability of the staff and the resources. Inventory management system so that the requirement of each restaurant can be monitored centrally (Aggarwal and Mohanty 2015). Since all the outlets of the chain will be in the same vicinity, the resources can be shared which will save a lot of energy and resource. Bookkeeping software for management of monetary resources. Advertisement mechanism which could be through social media which will help in targeting the customers with specific tastes (Schwartz et al. 2013). What is Scalability? Scalability could be understood as the characteristic of the system to cope up with the increased pressure which could be increased load or expansion of the present system (Efentakis et al. 2013). In the context of ICT, scalability of a system has two aspects, firstly the system i.e. the hardware and the software continue to work at the same rate even when the volume of data increases at the present system. The other situation deals with the expansion of the system, i.e. the smaller system could be made larger by increasing the peripherals connected to the system (Borghoff and Pareschi2013). The aim of this project is to suggest a system design that will ensure scalability in both the fields, i.e. the systems will be made strong enough to deal with any amount of data and the peripherals will be made strong enough to support the expansion of the system. The Mexican food outlet that is supposed to be opened on Sunshine Coast aims to work under a franchise arrangement for the other future stores. Hence the business will expand, and the resources that are associated with the business need to expand too. As per the requirement of investor, each outlet should be interconnected to ease the ordering and inventory management. The outlets should have wireless access points to ensure internet connectivity be provided to the customers. The project will start with a single outlet on the beach which will act as the base for all the other outlets. Hence the system should be designed in such a way that any amount of expansion doesnt affect the system that has been installed at this point. Hence the scalability becomes a pivotal factor for implementation of the franchise (Mishra 2015). Why is it an Important Factor to Consider when Making Recommendations to the Franchise? As the business grows from a single outlet to multiple outlets, the main objective of meeting the demands of the consumers remains constant, but the load subsequently increases. Since the market demands are variable, and the taste of the consumer changes with time and according to the availability of resources, the service provider should always be a step ahead to meet the demands. The scalability becomes important as it gives the computation power needed for the expanding businesses. The expanding business provides more consumer and with it comes more data that has to be sorted out in due time to offer better services (DaSilva et al. 2013). Also, the internet service to consumers will feel the brunt is lesser capability is installed, and more customers turn up at the same time. Hence redundancy of the resources should be given the due importance. Apart from the internet services, the order placement and inventory management will also become complex with the increasing amount of outl ets, for the management of the same, computers with interconnection have to be provided to reduce the complexity of managing the resources. For interconnection switches or hubs should be installed that is capable of accommodating all the systems that are installed in the network. So it can be understood that the scalability should be kept in mind for an expanding the system (Wang et al. 2014). But it should also be borne in mind that scalability should be based on real assumption as installing more resources than the required quantity will result in resource wastage. Hence it can be seen that franchise has a specific requirement, it is created to grow into a system that is spread over an area. Since the requirement of the system is always unknown and the growth is unpredictable, some redundancy is always helpful, and scalability offers that extra mile to the organization that helps in better management of the system (Jabłonski 2016). Conclusion In the report, the various aspects of the restaurant management system and its implementation have been analyzed and presented in three sections. The system has been designed in such a way to serve as a model for the other chain of the franchise that is yet to be implemented. In the first section, the requirement analysis has been done with the help of five groups; the requirements were then analyzed and presented with reasons for implementation. In the following section, personal views regarding the requirements have been presented. Finally, in the last section, scalability has been deliberated in detail which is an important factor for the expansion of the business and accommodating extra load on the present system, hence the completing the project layout in all the aspects. Macro economics Essay Example For Students

Macro economics Essay Keynesian EconomicsMacroeconomics, branch of economics concerned with the aggregate, or overall, economy. Macroeconomics deals with economic factors such as total national output and income, unemployment, balance of payments, and the rate of inflation. It is distinct from microeconomics, which is the study of the composition of output such as the supply and demand for individual goods and services, the way they are traded in markets, and the pattern of their relative prices. At the basis of macroeconomics is an understanding of what constitutes national output, or national income, and the related concept of gross national product (GNP). The GNP is the total value of goods and services produced in an economy during a given period of time, usually a year. The measure of what a countrys economic activity produces in the end is called final demand. The main determinants of final demand are consumption (personal expenditure on items such as food, clothing, appliances, and cars), investment (spending by businesses on items such as new facilities and equipment), government spending, and net exports (exports minus imports). Macroeconomic theory is largely concerned with what determines the size of GNP, its stability, and its relationship to variables such as unemployment and inflation. The size of a countrys potential GNP at any moment in time depends on its factors of production-labor and capital-and its technology. Over time the countrys labor force, capital stock, and technology will change, and the determination of long-run changes in a countrys productive potential is the subject matter of one branch of macroeconomic theory known as growth theory. The study of macroeconomics is relatively new, generally beginning with the ideas of British economist John Maynard Keynes in the 1930s. Keyness ideas revolutionized thinking in several areas of macroeconomics, including unemployment, money supply, and inflation. Keynesian Theory and Unemployment Unemployment causes a great deal of social distress and concern; as a result, the causes and consequences of unemployment have received the most attention in macroeconomic theory. Until the publication in 1936 of The General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money by Keynes, large-scale unemployment was generally explained in terms of rigidity in the labor market that prevented wages from falling to a level at which the labor market would be in equilibrium. Equilibrium would be reached when pressure from members of the labor force seeking work had bid down the wage to the point where either some dropped out of the labor market (the supply of labor fell) or firms became willing to take on more labor given that the lower wage increased the profitability of hiring more workers (demand increased). If, however, some rigidity prevented wages from falling to the point where supply and demand for labor were at equilibrium, then unemployment could persist. Such an obstacle could be, for example, trade union action to maintain minimum wages or minimum-wage legislation. Keyness major innovation was to argue that persistent unemployment might be caused by a deficiency in demand for production or services, rather than by a disequilibrium in the labor market. Such a deficiency of demand could be explained by a failure of planned (intended) investment to match planned (intended) savings. Savings constitute a leakage in the circular flow by which the incomes earned in the course of producing goods or services are transferred back into demand for other goods and services. A leakage in the circular flow of incomes would tend to reduce the level of total demand. Real investment, known as capital formation (the production of machines, factories, housing, and so on), has the opposite effect-it is an injection into the circular flow relating income to output-and tends to raise the level of demand. Why Stealing Is Wrong essay The cost-push theory basically emphasized the role of excessive increases in wages relative to productivity increases as a cause of inflation, whereas the demand-pull theory tended to attribute inflation more to excess demand in the goods market caused by expansion of the money supply. A central concept in inflationary theory since the mid-1950s has been the Phillips curve, which relates the level of unemployment to the rate of inflation. The Phillips curve suggests that society can make a choice between various combinations of inflation rate and unemployment level. Many economists, however, dispute whether such a choice really exists, saying that in order to keep unemployment under control it will be necessary to accept continuously increasing inflation. At the same time many other economists dispute whether a stable relationship between unemployment and the level of real wage demands exists. Modern Theories During the last few decades there have been numerous refinements of the Keynesian theory of unemployment. For example, although there is still much disagreement as to the importance of wage rigidity, significant progress has been made in explaining it without recourse to trade union behavior or government regulation. At first it seemed difficult to reconcile the notion of wage rigidity with the usual economists assumption that people seek to maximize utility or satisfaction and would be willing to accept a lower wage in order to get a job. However, by widening the range of variables over which individuals optimize to include variables such as loyalty and self-respect, it has become easier to reconcile labor market disequilibrium with the usual assumptions of optimizing behavior. Macroeconomic theories regarding the way that the determinants of total final demand operate form the basis of large macroeconomic models of the economy that are used in economic forecasting to make predictions of output and employment and related variables. During the last few years, the record of most such predictions has been poor, and an analysis of the errors has led to continual revisions of the basic models and refinements of the theory. Phillips curve The Phillips curve illustrates the trade-off found by economist A. W. Phillips between lower unemployment and increased inflation. If unemployment is low at 4 percent, inflation is slightly high at 6 percent (point a). If inflation is eliminated, unemployment increases to 8 percent (point b). The trade-off poses a dilemma for policy-makers, although economists disagree on whether this relationship exists.

The story brushes Essay Example For Students

The story brushes Essay Mr. Russell, welcome to our program, Writers Question Time. Could you briefly tell us what your play is about?  Thank you for inviting me to the show. Blood Brothers is about the story of twin brothers separated at birth. The twins working-class mother Mrs. Johnston is too poor to keep both twins, so gives one to her very rich employer Mrs. Lyons, who cannot have children of her own. Mrs. Johnston is extremely superstitious, and Mrs. Lyons discovers this early on when Mrs. Johnston finds shoes on the table. Mrs. Lyons takes advantage of this, and tells Mrs. Johnston that if either twin learns he was one of a pair they shall both die immediately! We will write a custom essay on The story brushes specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now Until the twins are about eight years of age, Mrs. Lyons and Mrs. Johnston have no problem keeping their secret shut away. They then find that the twins have met, and have become very good friends without realising they are related to each other. Mrs. Lyons persuades her husband to move the family away from the city to the countryside. Later in the play, Mrs. Johnston and her children get moved from the slums, closer to the house of Mrs Lyons. As the twins discover each other once again, Mrs. Lyons mental health begins to deteriorate, and paranoia starts to kick in. With Mrs. Johnston, anxious as ever that her secret will slip out, the general mood of the play becomes more sinister, and the ending is tragic. Mr. Russell, what can you tell us about the setting you have chosen for your play?  I chose to set the play in Liverpool. I grew up there, so I had a great appreciation for the jokes and the language the locals used, as well as a superb mental map of the Liverpudlian area. This helped me whilst writing the play, as I could relate the setting to my own experiences as a teenager. The play begins in the 1960s; considerably I make this clear to the audience in the opening scenes when Mrs. Johnston sings about Marilyn Monroe. I also get Mrs. Lyons to threaten Mrs. Johnston by saying, Already youre being threatened by the Welfare. This mention of the Welfare State sums up how hard it is for a single woman like Mrs. Johnston to bring up a family. In Mrs. Johnstons case, she has seven hungry mouths to feed and one more nearly due. Her circumstances are really put to the extreme, especially when one of her children whimpers, Mum mum, theres no bread. The play ends in the 1980s. I make this obvious as the narrator dedicates one of his speeches to the recession of the 1980s, near the end of the play. Mickey, the poorer twin, belonging to Mrs Johnston, is cruelly affected by the recession, as he describes his job as having disappeared. In addition, the audience see Mickey job hunting, and having no luck. This is because Mickey has no education and no qualifications, making it very hard for him or someone in similar circumstances, to get a job in a time like recession.  Mr. Russell, your play has an unusual structure. Can you explain to us? When writing the play, one of my primary focuses was to make the audience have an active participating role. I managed to achieve this using the narrators songs in between many of the scenes. The narrators words often speak of destiny, and how previous choices in life determine outcomes later on. The narrator holds on to this role well by over-shadowing the entire story, enabling the audience to consider the very different circumstances the boys face from different perspectives. This opens up the audiences eyes to something they may have not seen otherwise. A good example of this is in the narrators first song when he says, Mrs. Johnston saw her children wrenched apart. .u5fb110d18f07083feac79118ad766ce5 , .u5fb110d18f07083feac79118ad766ce5 .postImageUrl , .u5fb110d18f07083feac79118ad766ce5 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u5fb110d18f07083feac79118ad766ce5 , .u5fb110d18f07083feac79118ad766ce5:hover , .u5fb110d18f07083feac79118ad766ce5:visited , .u5fb110d18f07083feac79118ad766ce5:active { border:0!important; } .u5fb110d18f07083feac79118ad766ce5 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u5fb110d18f07083feac79118ad766ce5 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u5fb110d18f07083feac79118ad766ce5:active , .u5fb110d18f07083feac79118ad766ce5:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u5fb110d18f07083feac79118ad766ce5 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u5fb110d18f07083feac79118ad766ce5 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u5fb110d18f07083feac79118ad766ce5 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u5fb110d18f07083feac79118ad766ce5 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u5fb110d18f07083feac79118ad766ce5:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u5fb110d18f07083feac79118ad766ce5 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u5fb110d18f07083feac79118ad766ce5 .u5fb110d18f07083feac79118ad766ce5-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u5fb110d18f07083feac79118ad766ce5:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: An Author and His Work: A Kid in King Arther's Court EssayIf you were to read the play without the narrators input, you may not have noticed this idea. This example is one of many, and shows how versatile the play can be when letting the reader take a side with a character, in this case, Mrs Johnston or Mrs Lyons. Allowing the audience to choose a side is one of the narrators clear intentions, since in the opening song he says, and judge for ourselves this terrible sin, noticeably inviting the audience to choose a side once the story unfolds. The lengths of the scenes vary considerably. This is so the story brushes through the years, stopping at points of interest and controversy. Where the scenes are short, or many years have been missed out, the narrator has a quick summary role, briefly explaining what has previously happened; he enables the audience to fill in the gaps. In one case, the narrator says, theres a jingle in your pocket, and youve got good friends, conveys the idea that this is three years after the previous scene, and so this concludes that Mickey and Edward have remained good friends. Another reason for the play to move on so quickly is so the audience only consider the main problems and issues of the play. The action moves on quickly and does not allow the characters to be the centre of attention, but rather the issues themselves which make up the story of the play.

Terrorism The issue of terrorism is Essays (3818 words) - Terrorism

Terrorism The issue of terrorism is one of the main concerns in the recent world. September 11/2001 attack in the twin tower of USA, bombing in Madrid and London bombing has raised a serious concern in this matter. Different government all over the world is trying to tackle this problem enacting different stringent laws and taking other steps. Indian society is attacked by this terrorism warm from the very beginning and immediate after independence, for example Kashmir, Mumbai bomb blasts, North East states, Punjab in 1980s and recently Mumbai attack. [1] There are different issues which come with the question of terrorism. The first question related to the definition of terrorism. In the international level there was a long effort to find a universally accepted definition of terrorism. The reason is that one person or states terrorist is freedom fighter to another state or individual. It has also faced opposition because most of this definition talks about th e action of the non-state actors and did not address the violence and torture done by the government agencies. International Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism adopted in 1999 by the General Assembly has given a definition of terrorism which is the first in an international treaty. [2]This says: " Any other act intended to cause death and serious bodily injury to a civilian and any other person not taking an active part in the hostilities in a situation of armed conflict, when the purpose of such act, by its nature or context, is to intimidate a population, or to compel a Government and international organization to do and abstain from doing any act. " There is two fold meaning in the context of terrorism and human right. In the first meaning the state is obliged to make regulation to prevent and combat terrorism on the ground to protect the individual right to life, liberty and security. The second thing is in the process of combating and preventing terrorism state should take care of the human right. [3] For the infringement of the latter the sate will be responsible under the international human right law and treaties in which it is a party. The European Court of Human Right and other international Human Right instrument has recognized that state has not only negative obligation to refrain from interfering into the rights of the people within its jurisdiction but also positive obligation to protect the people from the infringement of their human right by non state actors. [4] In this paper varies international instrument which talks about the protection of human right while combating terrorism will be discussed. Then subsequently some Indian anti -terrorism laws will be reviewed from the prospective of human right protection and the role of judiciary in the protection of human right while battling against terrorism. Chapter 1: International Institutions in the matter of Terrorism and Human Right Issu e : There are 13 international convention related to terrorism has been adopted under the supervision of United Nation. [5] After the attack of 11 September 2001 the international instruments, international political picture have changed a lot with relation to terrorism. United States of America declared " War on Terror " .[6] United Nations General Assembly Resolutions: The General Assembly resolutions related to terrorism are mainly G.A. Res.56/160, G.A. Res. 58/187, G.A. Res. 59/191, G.A. Res. 59/195, and G.A. Res. 57/219. All these resolution mainly focused on both non derogability of human rights and states responsibility to comply with it. The G.A. Res.56/160 says that the state should take all necessary and effective measures, in accordance with relevant provisions of international law, including international human rights standards, to prevent, combat and eliminate terrorism. . . and. . . strengthen, where appropriate, their legislation to combat terrorism. [7] G.A. Res. 57/219 says that States must ensure that any measure taken to combat terrorism complies with their obligations under international law, in particular international human rights.[8] G.A. Res. 58/187 argues that some human rights are non-derogable and emphasized that States must ensure that any measure taken to fight against terrorism take care of their obligations under international law, in particular international human rights, refugee and humanitarian law.[9] The remaining two resolutions also
